An exciting time at the warehouse yesterday!  We had to unpack and repack all the boxes we packed and stacked last week......MICE!  It was disgusting.  While we were working two mice jumped out of two of the boxes we were going through.  We screamed like little girls.  Mark who is on staff, chased one of them and stomped it so hard...well, I won't give the details here!  At any rated that definitely got the blood  flowing! (Literally and figuratively!)  We finally finished and got the boxes stacked to go to another county close by.

I not only like working at the warehouse, I like the people who work there.  I don't think I have ever worked somewhere that is so drama free.  The people who are there every day and who are on staff, are fun and easy to work with, and the volunteers who come in on a regular basis are just as wonderful.  The staff people who come everyday are Rod, Jessica, Mark, Ross and Emily.  Some of the volunteers who are there on a regular basis are Melissa, Norm, Nancy, Ann, Bobby and Tansel.  We also have a steady stream of men who are in a Recovery group who volunteer and all of them are equally easy to work with.

I have worked in some capacity my whole life, whether it was for pay or volunteer.  I can honestly say I have never worked with a group this easy and fun.  It may happen somewhere down the road, but so far, we have had no conflict of any kind.  I have often heard people say that the church isn't just within the four walls where we meet on Sunday, and for the first time in my life I think I am beginning to actually grasp that concept.  Church is working in the warehouse with people who love the Lord.  It's working under the bridge with others who also love the Lord.  Tommy and I have often stood under that bridge and looked up and said that this was our tabernacle where we love to come to worship.

Footnote from son who posts these for Prisha:  I do not condone the stomping of mice.  Poor little things...

Brown paper bags. . . catches and ends the mice crisis every time! What you choose to do with the brown paper bags of mice afterwards...well, that's up to you (just don't share it with the faint of heart!).
