Thoughts on life from Pat Oaks
My friend, my partner in ministry, the one who helped change the direction of my ministry, has gone to be with the Lord. Maxine Raines went to be with Jesus yesterday morning around 2 a.m. Her daughter, Sherri, was with her.
She has "fought the good fight". She has finished the race. She has kept the faith. Finally there is laid up for her a crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous judge will give her on that DAY. (2 Timothy 4:7)
I will miss you, Maxine. All of the people, especially the homeless community in Knoxville, will miss you. You were a bright and shining light in a dark dark place. I love you.
